Some things leave me speechless

There is always something crazy and off the wall at car shows, this is one of my favorites. After staring at all the unique parts that had been added including the rear section which looked like it was constructed from wood, I began to wonder who the owner was, had they driven it here and what it sounded like.

Well, within minutes the owner appeared, donned a 50's era crash helmet, jumped in and took off. To say he was as unique as his vehicle would be selling him short.

That engine came to life with a noise I would expect more from a WWI era plane than from a car. As he mashed the pedal to the floor a sound best described as a Whipporwill being sucked into a jet engine, only louder.

Liquid shot from all parts of the engine like Andre the Giant had smashed a water balloon between his hands, and off he went, wheels hopping and chirping.

I love the unexpected treats you find at drive in car shows.
