Four Eyed Spider VW Baja Beetle

I love old Dubs and Baja Bugs top the list of cool in my world. Sadly, here in charleston you don't see many Baja anything let alone bugs, so when I drove by this today I nearly drove off the road turning around to go back to see it.

It was built and owned by a pretty young kid named Josh and it turned out he owned a couple of other Volkswagens too. He was super stoked to talk about his car as well. The four headlight kit is pretty rare and looks super cool, and I like how stark the interior was, just like a racer.

Any time I get near a bug, I always close my eyes and take a deep breath of the interior, old Bugs have their own unique scent and if you've ever owned one(or more) you know what I'm talking about. It's a smell that brings me right back to my childhood.

Anyone who has followed my blog knows I build RC cars and one of my favorites is the Sand Scorcher Beetle by Tamiya, but that's for another day.
